[Frigid River #1] You are on the Frigid River in the vicinity of the dam. The river flows quietly here. There is a landing on the west shore. You are in the magic boat...
Strangely enough, waiting in the boat does nothing. The correct direction is down...go figure. You will not be able to go upstream due to strong currents, so this is likely a one-way trip.
>down
[Frigid River #2] The river turns a corner here making it impossible to see the dam. The White Cliffs loom on the east bank, and large rocks prevent landing on the west. You are in the magic boat.
>down
[Frigid River #3] The river descends here into a valley. There is a narrow beach on the east below the cliffs, and there is some shore on the west which may be suitable. In the distance a faint rumbling can be heard. You are in the magic boat.
To the west is the Rocky Shore, which connects to the Small Cave with the bat guano and the shovel. To the east is a narrow strip of beach which runs along the base of the White Cliffs. There is a narrow path to the south along the Cliffs.
>down
[Frigid River #4] The river is running faster here, and the sound ahead appears to be that of rushing water. On the west shore is a sandy beach. A small area of beach can also be seen below the cliffs. You are in the magic boat. There is a red buoy here (probably a warning).
To the east is the Rocky Beach, which is a rocky, narrow strip of beach beside the Cliffs with a narrow path leading north along the shore.
>take buoy
Taken.
Something seems funny about the feel of the buoy.
>west
[Sandy Beach] This is a large sandy beach at the shore of the river, which is flowing quickly by. A path runs beside the river to the south here. You are in the magic boat.
>disembark
You are on your own feet again.
>shake buoy
It sounds like there is something inside the red buoy.
>open buoy
Opening the red buoy reveals: A large emerald.
Doesn't everyone hide their valuables in buoys?
>take emerald
Taken.
>drop buoy
Dropped.
If you tried digging elsewhere, you already know the ground was too hard, with the exception of the bat guano, which gets you nowhere. A sandy beach seems like a nice, soft place to dig.
>dig with shovel
You seem to be digging a hole here.
>dig with shovel
The hole is getting deeper, but that's about it.
>dig with shovel
You are surrounded by a wall of sand on all sides.
>dig with shovel
You can see a small statue in the sand.
>take statue
Taken.
If you want to pass on, keep digging, as the hole will collapse, smothering you.
>drop shovel
Dropped.
>take stick
Taken.
>save
Saved.
